Brief
Epic approached us with a challenge: elevate their perceived value and reframe the brand as a modern, premium player in the telecom space. Despite offering award-winning service and competitive pricing, the brand was suffering from outdated marketing, inconsistent messaging, and a visual identity that didn’t reflect its true quality. Our task was to uncover what was working, identify the gaps, and architect a brand strategy that connects with both existing and untapped audiences. We needed to unify their brand voice, modernize their image, and craft campaigns that move beyond product-led messages to build long-term emotional brand equity.
How
We began with a full brand audit, including a competitive landscape review, audience profiling, and SWOT analysis. Insights pointed to a critical opportunity: Epic had exceptional service but lacked brand cohesion. We worked closely with the team to define new brand values: bold, customer-centric, and honest, and crafted a voice that balances clarity with energy. Through persona-based segmentation, we identified distinct audience archetypes, from tech-savvy students to mid-career professionals and expat families. We then developed a messaging matrix and visual direction to guide future campaigns, rooted in flexibility, speed, and connection. Everything from tone of voice to photography style was reimagined.
What
We delivered a complete brand repositioning framework, including refined brand positioning, tone of voice guidelines, refreshed visual identity, and audience-specific messaging. The new Epic now communicates with a direct, approachable tone while visually standing out through bold typography, dynamic layouts, and modular design elements. We created a library of brand voice examples, modular campaign templates, and a visual system that scales across both consumer and business contexts. This strategic overhaul allows Epic to confidently compete with larger players, appeal to new customer segments, and establish a clear, authentic identity in Malta’s telecom market.
